I think I hurt the fish on accident..

Okay, couple of days agoI had a cat dancer from my sister cat and she left it at my place and I used that on the fish because they were looking at it like they want to play or something. So I accidently put it in the water and the skinny long thig or whatever is made out of metal and it got in the water. Will that harm the fish in anyway?? It was only in there for 10 seconds.

Thanks.

Provided there was nothing on this thing that would contaminate the water with any toxic substances, the fish should be fine.
For future reference, its not a good idea to put anything in an aquarium unless it is designated for aquarium use.
