The tank is filtering out fine. YAH
I still have one shrimp surviving. WOOHOO
So i guess the tank was filtering, but with an old cartridge. YAH
Oh, also, I took out 30% of the water. Then, i replaced 15%, but I used BOTTLED WATER!
So, what you think???
Yeah, i'm a little lost too....more lost than anything is where you said you took out 30% of the water....great. Then you replaced 15%...????? so is your tank shy the other 15% of water?? You lost me. I guess i'm with byron and asking if filtering you mean, the tank is up and running better? or what?? Great post about cyling there by byron too!
Since you are going to be going through a cycle with fish-in
the tank, do yourself a huge favor and pick up API Liquid Test kit as mentioned by twistersmom. With a fish-in cycle you will need to monitor your water paraters daily
and do water changes as needed to keep your water parameters in check. You will save yourself daily trips to the fish store to get your water tested. They are baout $25 around here.
