I dont want to overstock!

My lfs is getting in a new shipment of fish soon, so i will be going down there in a week to pick up some new fish, but i dont want to over stock

its a 29 gallon and so far i have:
3 swordtails 2f 1m (i want to get another male and a few more females.
1 Platy female ( want to get some more as well)
2 cory's (also want to get 1 or 2 more)
3 young pleco ( i am going to rehome them )
and a male betta

i want to get some more platies, swordtails ( not to many as i have 12 Swordtail babies:D so i want to keep a female or 2 from the batch), and a few more cories. If there is space i was thinking of a school of cardinal tetras or a small school or zebra danios is there is any.

You could get 4f swords and 1m, you may split this up into a couple ofdifferent species so that you could have two different specie colonies. 5f and 2m Platy, making sure that at least 2f and 1m are the same species you now have. 4 cories would be the maximum. What species of plecostomus' do you have? If they are dwarf species you may only have to remove one, although moving two would lessen any territorial aggression that may arise in the furture.

i actually dont know what species of plecostomus they are, the two smaller ones could be bristlenose plecos, as i have seen alot of young bristlenose plecos in pictures and they have a more round face. are you suggesting a few more female Swordtail and more platies, or one of the two?

Personally I wouldn't get anymore swordtails. I've got 4 in a 28 gallon with tetras and corries and lets just say, I'm not getting new fish anytime soon If I were you I would get some more corries and a few platies, and some zebra danios(Mind you I'm not sure of the minimum you have to keep them with) the swords simply get to large. Maybe... Do you already have a male? I assume you want babies? If you really want another sword and you already have one male I would just get another female. That'll keep him good n busy. hehe yea it does thanks i may just get more platies, some cories, and some zebra danios if there isint any then a school of Cardinal Tetra's

i love cories and ive only just started to own them they are so active lol. They dont actually kepp certain time at my lfs but most are peppered cories i think lol :D
