If you have a 1 gal water pitcher you could use that to fill it. How many times you have to refill the jug before your hex is filled is your gallonage. It may not get the exact amount, but it will give you a pretty close ballpark.
Basically triangle of one of the sections times the height gives us the cu inches in that triangle times 6 to get all of the triangles volume together.
Unless I used one of the wrong measurements.
