i got the set up but i dont know how they mate and they been in there for weeks now and havent mate and i dont see any yellow eggs yet, but the problem is how will they mate?

LOL.. be happy. Trust me you really dont want them to mate unless you have lots of tanks ready for the fry. They dont stop once they start.

Now that you've been warned.. It take a mirror and timing. Put a mirror up to the tank so the male will show aggresion at his reflection. The female will try to pull the male away and lay eggs. Lip locking at this point is common. The timing part comes in here. Leave the mirror too long and the male will get too aggresive and probably kill the female, take it away too soon and the female wont be impressed enough and will cut the male off. Thats the way to breed Jack Dempsey.
