how to feed betta and tetras

I have a 10gal tank with a betta, 4 neon tetras and a few ghost shrimp at the bottom. Now the question is how do i go about feeding the betta with his food and the tetras with their food. When I tried to feed them seperatly they always start eating each others food or don't realize I'm feeding them and it all floats to the bottom.

I'd just use a good quality flake food, some frozen foods (Artemia or Bloodworms) and they'll all like it. As you see using specialized foods doesn't work for the fish, they eat what they like and what is good

Yeah my community betta just eat what everyone else eats. The crude protein content is probably the same in tropical food as it is in betta food anyways. I think people overestimate the quality of betta food lol... read the label-- fish meal, wheat germ, spirulina... nothing special there!

I recommend Hikari Micro Wafers as a good community staple.

As long as everyone's eating, you shouldn't have any serious problems. Be sure to let at least a little bit hit the bottom for the shrimp but be careful not to overfeed.

I tried feeding my community betta some betta pellets yesterday but since hes so slow each of the 5 tetras got it and spit it out before he had a chance. Then both neon tetras spent about 5 minutes trying to swallow it and spit it out then grab it again, it was a good show though watching them spit it out then chase it up and try again. But eventually the one almost got it down but looked like he was choking so i had to get it out, so after a couple minutes of them playing keep away with me i finally got it out.

What i had to do with the bloodworms is drop a bunch for the tetras to swarm after away from the betta and then slowly almost hand feed the betta his own.
