guys, i want to move my 40G tank to other room, to give room for my 100G tank.. what should i do? should i empty the tank? move all the fish to a bucket? i'm afraid my cichlids get stress if i do that..
what is the best thing i should do? thanks for reading..
o Move the fish to the buckets (note the water level when complete)
o Remove and rinse any decor
o Gravel vac the rest of the tank
o Remove the gravel with a (new) child's beach shovel
o Move the tank
o Level it up
o Replace the gravel, decor
o Refill the tank to the level noted after step 2 with dechlorinated water at or near the proper temperature.
o Replace remaining water and fish.
I've done it this way several times without a single loss.
