Above is the link to my original journal but it will not let me post to it since it is older than 157 days.

I would like to make an update on my tank since I have not in months.
The plants have been growing very well. My wendtii did die but there is a new shoot sprouting where it used to be. Is this something wendtii do? Die off and re-sprout.

I finally seen one of my blue pearl shrimp about a month ago but have not seen since. I am unsure if they are still alive or died.

I also lost my dwarf gourami. He/she seemed to just waste away. I tried using medication but that seemed to do nothing. I have been looking into getting more tetras for the tank and make it into a tetra and shrimp tank.

I am also coming across the issue of a bacterial bloom after each water change. I do water changes every weekend, between 2 to 4 gallons. I never had this issue with my 55 gallon tank that was all artificial. Is this something that happens in planted tanks? How can I stop this bloom from happening? I am completely new to planted tanks.

I added some dark red ludwigia, bacopa caroliniana, more pennywort and more micro sword in the front. Hopefully the micro sword perks up. I may rearrange some plants this was just a quick add of plants to get them in and out of the packaging. I also purchased more amano shrimp. One of the ember tetras is a complete chunk, not sure if it is just fat or pregnant. It is still eating and swimming around with the rest so I am not worried about it being sick.
