I woke up this morning to some guppy fry, they are in there own little tank and since this was unexpected, I have no food for them. This morning i crushed some tetramin tropical flakes (which is what i feed my other fish) and i put that in there and some of them ate it, but others didnt... is this normal, should i go and get specific food for the fry, or are they fine with the crushed flake food.

P.S. They are the cutest things!!!

is it normal for the female to still be fat, because when she was pregnant she was HUGE, and then she gave birth to 18 fry and even after giving birth she's still big, is that normal???

Don't worry if some of the fry don't eat at first, eventually they will eat it. I feed my fry crushed flake food as well and they grow up as large and vibrant as any guppies I have ever seen. In fact I have some new platy fry as of yesterday and some of them still aren't used to eating flake food. Don't worry about it.

And yes it is normal for a couple of days for the guppy to remain fat. Good luck and congratulations!:)

Oh wait, some more questions! Sorry....

1. The tank the fry are in is 78 Degrees Fahrenheit, is that ok?
2. Since the tank is 78 Degrees, when will i see color?
And Last:
3. Will the temperature make them grow faster, slower or at a good pace?

For a guppy to grow to full size I believe it takes around 6 months. If the water temperature is warmer I have read and heard from multiple sources that it helps any type of fry increase their growth rate. I am not sure because I keep my tanks at a consistent temperature.(around the same as yours) I see color start to appear in about 2-3 months.
