Question Gourami bubble-nesting or just bubbles?

Hello everyone, i have a lot of bubbles in my tank and i was wondering, is this a bubblenest from my gourami or just bubbles? i recently put a heater in the tank for winter and didn't know if the bubbles might be from that? if they are in fact the gourami's bubble nest, does this mean it is a male? also does it mean he/she is sexually mature? thanks

That looks identical to the bubble nests my bettas make. Knowing the relation between gourami and betta I would say that yes, that is a bubble nest. I would also say that you have a male gourami as males are usually the ones that build them. Bubble nests mean the fish is happy. So keep up the good work!
