My question is, are you looking for larger goldfish? you can buy feeder/comet goldfish (which I still think are pretty) for anywhere between $0.13-$2 at petco/petsmart. they also have black moor goldfish, fantail goldfish, oranda, and a couple others for under $10. Sometimes they will even have larger goldfish that people returned that you could adopt.

Shipping any live fish is going to be expensive. The larger the fish, the more expensive it will be. Most stores don't carry the fancier varieties of goldfish, but some might be able to order them for you if you ask. If you do go with online shipping, Rain Garden Gold fish is a top quality US breeder.

Another route is looking at the local pond/goldfish and koi clubs. They might know a local breeder who isn't well advertised or know a shop that can import the fancier goldfish for you.

Getting it directly from a reputable breeder would probably be better, but the last few times I've been to petsmart (and my Local petstore) and they have some beautiful fantails and orandas. And they are all fairly cheap.

I actually have seen some on Craigslist and petfinder before because people don't quite realize how big they get and usually end up getting rid of them.

There are a lot of places you can find them that are fairly inexpensive, just exercise caution as some places may have fish that aren't the healthy.
