So I've been feeding my 4 red wag platys and 3 angels two different flakes and frozen blood worm. Today I decided to buy some frozen brine shrimp because I've read that they really enjoy these.
First of all, EW haha. My platys devoured these, but my angels not so much. One refused to eat them, he swallowed a couple and then spit them out. The 2 smaller ones did eat a few.
Whats the deal?!
Maybe since it's a new food and they're not used to the brine shrimp. Angels can be kind of picky eaters sometimes. Give it some time for them to get used to it. My angel loves brine shrimp.
I bought some live BS today about $1 for like 200 of them. The fish really liked them all of the fish were stuffing there bellys. I will probably try and do that more often for them.
Your angels wouldn't eat it? Mine go nuts for it. Maybe try it again, they just might not have quite "gotten" it. I suppose if you can get live though...that would be better.
I went out hoping to get live ones, but the store didnt have any and it was late to try the other stores around so I just went with frozen. Only one of the angels didnt want to eat it, everyone else ate. The platys are crazy, they DEVOUR everything. Oh well, I'll try again, it was like 2 bucks for a 4x2" frozen plate so I'm not so worried.
