Fish question :)

Heres what I have

29 Gallon Aquarium:
-sword plant/1 tall skinny one with broad leaves at the top/something lookin like hornwot tho its not.
-3 medium sized fake plants
-1 rather large cave

And i am curious as to what fish would be interesting in there.
I have 2 angels, a pleco, 3 corys, 3 otos
I was going to get rid of the pleco...maybe for a bristle..so it wont outgrow it and probably the angels.

So in the case i get rid of the angels..i compiled a list of fish i would like available at my local fish store.

Paradise fish
Cherry Barb
swordtails
bettas(either gender) kind of have a fancy for these would like at least 1..
black phantom tetras
male fancy guppies
african dwarf frog
mollies
platies
rainbow shark/rtbs
glofish these are kinda cool too..wouldnt mind some
banded leporinus

Other possible fish i kind of liked..
Tiger Barb
The really colorful small gourami?
Also saw fish labed as (asst african chiclid)..do they get big or is that to general?
ropefish
eel..any small ones?

Any other colorful fish that are small to medium sized and relativly active you can think of?
Would appreciate possible combinations including numbers if ya dont mind

Thanks in advance :)

Most of those fish would be a nice addition to a community.

Most of those you listed will work well together, so it would just decide what you want. The things you need are:

-Bettas. Only keep 1 male per tank, or 4 or more females. They can go with community fish, but it all depends on the betta's personality.
-Rainbow/RTBS should only have 1 per aquarium. Most LFS keep a lot when they are young, but as they get older they get very territorial with their own specie. Don't mix them either.
-Bander Lepornius gets up to 12" long, and can eat other fish.
-Tiger Barbs are highly reccomended to have 6 or more. They become very nippy if not kept in a shoal.
-Dwarf Gouramis can be peaceful, but they can be aggressive.
-Assorted African Cics need a specie-only tank, and it would have to bigger than a 29G. You never know what you are getting, so that is risky.
-I don't have any experience with Ropefish, but I heard they will eat small fish.
-The best eel for a 29g is a peacock eel. Very interesting. They like to burrow and hide, and get around 8-12" long in an aquarium. They can eat smaller fish as they mature.

What species are these cories? Ditch the RTBS. A 29g is too small for the RTBS to establish territories and may end up harassing the other fish inlucing the corydoras. A 29g should support 6 cories depending on the species you get. Don't confuse them with bronchis and aspidoras although the latter is not commonly available anyway.

Some online sites sell them. Don't buy online unless it has a arrive alive thing.

My LFS sells them.

I had a red tail shark take out the prettiest betta I've ever seen. I put him in my tank for one night..one night at 6pm and when the lights went out..the poor betta didn't have a chance. 6AM the next morning when I was so excited to take him to my work tank, he was beat up and torn apart. Poor thing, I never even got to name him :(

I would suggest either doing a livebearer tank (mollies, male guppies, swords and possibly dwarf gouramies) or the tiger barbs in a species tank with the ottos and maybe cories. Not sure about mixing barbs and cories. The frogs can mix with any of these..just make sure you have a tight fitting hood since they like to jump out!

I like the fist option. Check out this post about what other fish you can put in with the male betta. http://www.fishforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=13215
