fish color

This is a discussion on fish color within the Freshwater and Tropical Fish forums, part of the Freshwater Fish and Aquariums category; --> I was wondering if sand makes you fish lighter colored and does tetra color food really work...

Well, darker colored gravels and sand (and backgrounds) make fish more secure, which makes their color show more. Lighter colored things make some fish stress. Either way, fish would most likely change color.

About the food, what do you mean "if it works?" Like, do fish eat it, or it makes fish change colors?

Most foods with color enhancers and beta carotene do.
