I would love to have some more middle or top swimmers, but I'm having trouble finding something tough enough to withstand the gourami's attitude. She rules the tank. Also, will need something big enough not to be lunch for my Raphael cat. Any suggestions on possible tankmates would be helpful?
How big is your Ralphael catfish? The reason why I ask is that your cory's, and bubble bee cats will be in danger when the ralph cat gets bigger, saying that it is a small ralph right now.
With that said you asked what other fish would go with your setup and this is what I came up with. African Butterfly fish 4", Elephant fish 9", Rosy barbs 6" (schooling), or Denison barbs 4 1/2"(schooling). Now if your gourami is a male some of these fish would not work.
If you live in the Ottawa area I can trade you a female 3 spotted gourami for your male, if it is a male. Females work better if you want to have a community tank, much more passive. They get along with most other fish even male betta's.
