finding new fish for tank- help!

I have a tank that's about 10-15gal. It's a very old tank my parents had and it is an irregular hexagon shape. My geometry is a little hazy so I'm not sure if my calculations are correct, but I think it's close to 15 gal.

Anyhew... I am deciding on adding new fish to my tank and was wondering what you guys think they should be and how many. My tankmates right now are survivors of my last group. As of right now, I have 1 Siamese Algae Eater, 2 Wagtail Platies, and 2 Golden Wonder Killifish. I learned a while ago small fish, such as neon tetras, are not an option due to my killifish. Petsmart and some websites label them as peaceful community fish, but what they don't realize is they are only peaceful to larger fish! I found out the hard way, let me tell you.

So any advice on new tankmates? I was thinking at least getting more platies or swordtails to keep my 2 watails company.

I'd get rid of the algae eater, I heard when they are full grown they can get pretty aggressive, ottos are a good choice, or maybe some panda cories.. some dalmation mollies would look really cool in there, too!

I wanted to get ottos instead of the algae eater, but the ones at the store seemed to be perfect size for killifish food.

15 g is a small tank for a kill fish isn't it ? Perhaps that fish along with the siamese algea eater could be rehomed. I think a betta and ottos are a good start, Then you could add a few more smalleer fish for some variety.2 yo-yo loahes pop nicely and there are new tetras that are very co;orful, check out www.azgardens.com many rare small fish to choose from plus Peter and nick are great guys to deal with! Good luck
