Filter Question

I ordered a Fluval C4 HOB filter for my daughter new 36g Now Front for Xmas.

I am thinking about returning that and getting a Cascade 1000 or 1200.

Is this a good move? Not necessary?

1000 and 1200 are the same price so go bigger or what?

No idea about tank set up yet. Just wanted to start the cycle off right and possibly return the HOB

Thanks

Are the cascades canisters? If so, get that. Canisters are better than HOB and the bigger the better (within reason). Optimum filtration is 10x the water volume per hour but many recommend about 8x. Stay within those means and you'll be fine. (:
