I was looking to vary the diet for my fish (List in my siggy) and told my dad that I wanted to buy some brine shrimp as a canivorous suppliment to my fishes' flake food. He said it'd be way cheaper to feed them the shrimp we've got at home currently. We've got a big bag of cocktail shrimp in my freezer right now and we plan on trying a thawed piece tomorrow. The shrimp are the run of the mill ones for cocktail parties, and are therefore safe for humans to eat. Can my fish eat it too?
Yeah those are safe for the fish. Just cut a little up so they can eat it. It is cheaper than buying bloodworms, brine shrimp, ect. Buy a bag at the grocery store, take 6-12 from the bag and store them with the rest of your fish food.
I think I have a video on youtube of my fish eating jumbo/cocktail shrimp.....
I fed them a brine shrimp cube this afternoon and they LOVED it! They all look pregnant now. XD
