Exclamation Feeding Issue - Urgent

Hi guys, as some of you know, I have 8 harlequin Rasbora and one bristlenose pleco in my 10 gallon tank. As I was feeding my pleco (whereby I put 2 pellets on his piece of driftwood, I have to physically place it because if I let it sink the harlequins eat it!), I discovered that his pellets had gone but he'd stayed on the opposite side of the tank, so it definitely wasn't him that took it (I was watching him sucking the walls, not paying attention to the pellets). Assuming it could have been the filter sucking the pellets in as his driftwood is close to the filter, I put two more in and watched, then to my horror (quite dramatic), one of my Harlequins came over and dives across the bottom of the tank and took a pellet off of the driftwood and then another came and took the other.

I just don't know what to do, any suggestions would be very appreciated. I saw my bristlenose eat one pellet, so he's ok I suppose for today (not ideal but one's better than nothing), but needs some suggestions before tomorrow! Thanks in advance!

Edit: to put it more simply, the harlequins are stealing my plecos food

You pleco should be eating flakes, brine shrimp, blood worms etc.... In other words, whatever you're already feeding the tank and feed enough so that he gets some that sinks down to the bottom.

You can get the large size algae tabs that won't fit in the other fishs mouths and will slowly dissolve. He needs his veggie too.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Hi Romad,

I took your advice and today got my BN pleco not an algae tab but TetraWafer Mix. It's two types of wafer in the bag so he gets a variety and they're too big for my harleys to get! He's taken a liking to them so they will be his main food source from now. You should have seen him when he saw some food in the tank! He darted ha. Of course he hasn't had anything for two days because the Harley's have been knicking it! They were very interested though, they were trying to what looked like peck at it in an attempt to eat it but failed, although afterwards they were still hanging around and having more attempts until they realised it just wasn't going to work

What types of veg can I give to him, how much and how do I prepare it? I've never used veg in my aquarium, so I just want to make sure I do it right!

Thanks for your help :)
