i just got a shoal of 13 serpae tetras. they are wonderful red fish. only fish in one of my tanks. but def my favorite fish(s) are german blue rams/ bolivian rams and angelfish. red cherry shrimp are also very attractive along with blue tiger shrimp.

Second the rams, they are my absolute favorite. By far the best personality of any fish I have ever kept. The german blues can be tricky, but they are absolutely beautiful. I recommend you go read a bit about them and give them a shot if you like what you hear (don't be intimidated by people saying how hard they are, if your tank is stable and soft they should be fine). The bolivians behave similarly but most say they are hardier (I have not kept these myself). I also love keeping cherry shrimp in all my tanks, they help keep everything clean and the babies are a great food source for your fish if you can get the colony established.
