discus spawning in Amazonia

Here are two videos I came across, showing discus spawning in their natural habitat in Amazonia. Interesting for the dim light they prefer, thick tangle of branches and/or vegetation for camouflage. Enjoy, you discus folks.

The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. [unknown source]

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

Great videos, I enjoyed them. It's funny how the water in the wild always looks so murky and dirty. If the water in my tank looked like that at home surely all my fish would perish, lol.
Thanks for posting these videos!

Very Cool!! Thanks Byron

When looking for a solution to an Aquarium problem go slow and change only one parameter at a time!
