Exclamation cut fin?

I'm not sure this is the right place to put this post but I couldnt find anywhere else to put it. My male platy has two cuts in his upper fin I only noticed this yesterday when feeding him and other fish, he was eating totally norm and acting norm too. I have no clue if this is fin rot or something but it's straight cuts not just looking rotted (My fish have had fin rot before so I knwo what it looks like). somebody PLEASE HELP

If the cut edges have white tint, then it is finrot otherwise water changes will simply help it recover.
