Criticize my ideas so far

29 gallon fw aquarium

So far i have:
1 bumblebee bogy
4 otos

What i want to add:
1 banjo catfish
1 bumblebee goby
something thatll consume my snails :P

and a few of these(yes i know i cant get them all):

german ram
african butterfly
long finned blue danios
rainbow shark
Parkinson's or Madagascar rainbowfish
neon blue gourami

Just want to have something colorful, active(besides the fish i have i know they are boring), and not very aggressive..im open to other suggestions too, just those are the ones i saw i liked.

Thanks,
Lincoln

Ok the bumblebee gobies are brackish fish. So get rid of those for sure. You should have 5-6 Khuli loaches, but you wouldn't really have enough room for those. If I was you this would be my list

2 otos
1 banjo catfish
3 Khuli loaches
5 long finned blue danios
and a pair of rams. I don't know what kind you wanted but I would go with blue rams

I'm not even sure about the banjo catfish, he should be ok. They max out at 6"

I'm not sure but I think you would be safe with this list. I don't even know if I would bother with the Khuli loaches if you only going to have three. They won't be as active or happy. Maybe ditch the Khuli loaches all together and get something else? It would make room for several smaller fish, maybe some tetras? Guppys? maybe even some platies.

I know guppys sound boring but they are really cool, and very colourful. Or possibly some endlers liverbearers? I just figured with guppys you could have way more. And a wide variety of them.

And just before you laid dead weight upon its shores, I stung you in the face for that's the nature of my core.

the gobys i got are freshwater ones...they were bred in it and kept in it at the store (its a small store). Figured the banjo wouldnt be a problem as they mainly lie around and are peaceful from what ive read. Anything else that could scavenge a little bit then? Ive had horrible look with corys recently so anything besides that.

Thanks again.

Sorry!!! I thought I replied to this.

Hmmm nothings coming to mind right now. All I can think of would be shrimp or a mystery snail? I'll look into it a little more.

I've had horrible luck with corries too. I had 5 but two died on me and I had one replaced and it died too. The three left are good though. I will look into some kind of cat fish or other bottom feeder that might work for you though.

I would go with shrimp though, you might have room for some more fish that way?

Bumblebee gobies are fine in freshwater so long as water is not soft and acidic. It has lower conductivity in contrast to hard and alkaline waters which it actually prefers.

Ditch the sharks and rainbowfish. No more space for more IMO. Stick to only one pair of rams, nothing more.

I actually finally got to go to the fish store yesterday. I ended up getting: 2 gold khuli loaches and a ram. Currently have 4 otos and a bumblebee with it as well. I still have to get more loaches i know, thats all they had though.

Also on rams, does gender matter or not? And could i still get the banjo and some long finned zebras or something?

Thanks again.

I'd ditch the banjo unless you get a larger tank.

4 otos
4 bumblebee gobys
8-10 khuli loaches
5-8 long finned blue danios
2 rams (male and female)

Instead of the zebra danios..they are hard to find around here for some reason...Would fancy guppies work? or what is another active fish thats in the middle/top?

Thanks yet again
