Right now I have a 55 gallon tank with:
4- gold barbs
4- black skirt tetras
4- neon tetras
3- rasbora hets
1- feeder Guppy
2- dwarf frogs
1- 4 inch Bristlenose Pleco
1- 7 inch common? pleco -will be moving to a new tank in a couple weeks

A few questions:
1) Is this group of fish a good mix to have a healthy community?
2) I took in the Guppy about a month ago when my friend broke down his tank. She is probably 5 years old and has lived through some pretty harrowing times (she didn't earn the name Jésus for nothing). She is now attempting to school with the neons, but is mostly left out. Should I get her more Guppy friends to school with? Will they do well in the tank I have set up? If yes, do they have to be feeder guppies or can they be a different kind? How many should I have of them
3) My sister has decided she no longer wants her danios (they look like long-fin zebra danios, but are yellow and transparent). She has two in a heated 2.5 gallon tank. Would they be an alright fish to add to my current tank or should I leave them in the little one? Are they ok in the little tank?

Just get rid of the Common plec, and you can most likely fit the Danios and more guppies in the 55. Don't add any male guppies though; get all females so they don't breed. You might be able add a few more Zebra Danios as well.

if you want her to breed you can introduce a male,i would suggest
for her sake though that you get more females,because he will harass
her to death,if you just want company for her then just get
females.
and i would think that it would be fine to put the danios in too.

if the pleco leaves then you can get 2-3 more guppies for your current female. i wouldnt get males just girls. and then you could also add the danios and maybe get more of them so that they have a real school. good luck :D

Thanks for the replies. I hope to have the big pleco out sooner rather than later. His owner had to restart his tank at the beginning of January and I got stuck with him until the tank is cycled. Once he is gone, I will see about getting Jésus some girl friends. I thought she would appreciate a school of her own. She was purchased as a feeder for some big fish, but escaped them and lived for a year in that tank. Then those fish died and the owner just turned off the tank. She survived several months in a shut down tank all alone with no food, heat and barely any daylight. Her next owner put her in a different tank with a bunch of guppys and mollys, but didn't know she was a female until she started popping out babies. Some disease wiped out that tank's population probably eight months ago and she found herself once again alone save for a Goldfish until I was able to get her out of there. I hope that she will be content now. Anyone know how long guppies live for?

I have no idea how long Guppies live for, but you could probably find it on Google. :)

not sure how long normal guppies live for but yours seems to be imortal!
