| | Chinese Algae Eater help
Hi all,
Not sure if this is where this thread goes, so please bear with me if I put it in the wrong category.
I took in a fish from someone who was dismantling his tank. I was told he was a Chinese Algae Eater, but he doesn't look like any CAE pictured on Google (he very well could be one, but I'm not very knowledgeable about them). He looks exactly like a Cory on steroids - he's about 7 inches in length and about three inches in height, not including his dorsal fin.
He's definitely some kind of algae eater, but I'm not sure what to feed him or how often to give him food. I really don't have much algae in the tank for him to eat, and what little is there is also being consumed by a red-tailed shark (got it from the same person) and a plethora of annoying pond snails. I have algae pellets that the so-called CAE didn't seem to find interesting.
Thanks!
