Can you polish your reflector on your light housing

Hi,

This may seem like a strange question, I have T5HO lights and it's been in service for a little over a year. I recently changed the bulbs and I was wondering if I could put a coat of turtle wax on the reflector to polish it up and make it SHINE. I sampled one of the corners (about 1/2 inch) and it made the reflector glow, but I am not sure if I should proceed with the rest of the reflector. Any feedback will be welcomed !!!

if you think it works i dont see why not.
not that you would but just make sure the reflectors never contact your water as i dont think it would be "fish safe"

Personally, I wouldn't take the chance. Maybe just clean well and buff with micofiber towel.

I don't see a problem with that. However the wax is not going to increase the reflectability at all.
