Sounds to me like your teacher is a jerk. If you do not get the response you want from him maybe you could go to the principle.

What alcohol did he use? Grain alcohol? Ethyl alcohol? The ethyl alcohol will horribly kill the fish as it burns their gill and skin tissues badly. I'd understand if the grain alcohol was used right after sedating the fish with clove oil as it slows down the respiration and finally stopping the organs from functioning well. But to see if it goes drunk? I wonder the sanity of that jerk.
