Barb being Dangeous?

Hi all. I need some help ASAP. I have a 44 gallon and I had 11 different types of barbs in there. I found someone who wanted the barbs and I gave them to him, so I can finally purchase my new stock of:

1 Angelfish
11 Serpae
8 neons
8 cories

Today I purchases the angel, serpae, & neon, and one of my barbs popped out from a hiding spot. Turns out he had tricked me into staying in the tank. I've tried endlessly to catch him, but I can't. I'm not sure of hi type, but he has black stripes, black/orange fins, and he in narrow. Please give me some techniques to catch him. I've tried the net but he is VERY fast.

Also, would he be a danger to my new fish?

Can you get a picture of the barb?
All barbs prefer to be in groups. Some barbs are known to be fin nippers if not kept in groups.

It may be fine to add the other fish, depending on what type barb you have.

If you decide to net him, it may help to remove some of the decor. I have also removed some water to catch fish. Having two nets can also help. One net to catch him, the other net to scare him in the right direction.

I think I have found that the unknown barb is Puntius arulius.

I have been home for awhile and have been watching my fish. My barb seems to have no aggression issues and has not bothered the angel. It appears to have schooled with the serpae.

Not a type of barb I have kept.
Glad it is doing well, but do keep an eye on it.
Sounds like it is missing its friends.Where there more of this type that the guy picked up?

No, it is not a tiger barb. I have kept those before.
