Aquarium sand question

Hi there, got some pool filter sand delivered and the bag says dried industrial sand. Is that the same thing?
Thanks.

Wash it, wash it and wash it again. And then again. And again. And maybe some more. You can't wash it too thoroughly. Washing smaller amounts will help get it clean.
