AqualogNews now online

Some of you may be familiar with this excellent hobby publication from Germany that began in 1996. There is a set of books on various fish groups, for example one called All Corydoras that contains multiple photos of all species of Aspidoras, Corydoras and Brochis that were known at the time of publication. Updates (in the form of photo stickers that could be stuck in on the spare pages included in the volumes) appeared in a small publication named AqualogNews that came out in both German and English for the first 12 editions and subsequently in both languages separately. Each issue contained reports on new discoveries, information on various fish species, etc.

Some fish stores carried these, but usually private subscription was the only means of acquiring AqualogNews--until now. All issues are now available online and for free.

Here is the link:

The issues can be read online or downloaded and printed. These publications contain good, well-documented and researched information, and I recommend them.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

This is fantastic! I've heard of this publication before but I've never read any of it myself. I have a lot of reading to catch up on. *bookmarked*

Thanks, Byron!

Thanks Byron! Just what I need, somewhere else to bury myself for hours while procrastinating on things I should be doing.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
