What would be a good effective algea eater for a a 5 gallon tank? My tank sits by a window and has a lot of algea growing and need something that can clean it up. I was thinking oto but have read they need to be in groups.

Well, your 3 MTS will probably turn into more (if they haven't already).

What kind of algae do you have? Nerite snails are generally pretty darn good algae eaters.

I agree, let the snails handle it in a 5g., and reduce the light intensity/duration a bit (with a shade/blind) to help.

Byron.
