Algae in 10 gallon Gourami Aquarium

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kinda of algae this is. It is growing pretty rapidly, and I have yet to add an algae eater to my tank because I don't want to bring in another fish if this is a dangerous bacteria. The picture of the tank and its information are here: teriberry - 10 gallon Freshwater fish tank . Please let me know if you have a good idea as to what this is.

I cant see any algea, but the gouramis are not suited in your tank.. The kissing gourami can get to a foot and the blue/opaline can get to 6inches...

thefishboy is right, that isn't quite suitable for your gouramis. Generally, gouramis prefer to be in a tank at least 15g, with a few exceptions (sparkling gourami and some others). Alot of people think that gourami should be kept in 1m/1f pairs. I guess that is your choice.

That kissing gourami will get to be over 12"! If you aren't going to upgrade tank sizes, you might want to look into giving him away. Hope this helps.

The algae is near the top left hand side. It's white.

I have tried to give him away. No one will take him! I was mis-informed about how large he would get initially, and after I did research I have tried to find him a suitable home, but can't.
