| || | Ahh, the road begins.
I am now 'babysitting my little brothers twice a week for $20 a day until the end of summer and possibly into the new school year. (Three weeks left of Summer! That's at least $120!) I also babysit on occasion at another ladies house and she already o.wes me $20 from last time. Hopefully I'll have a few more jobs from her before Summer is over and also into the school year. That's at least $140 by the end of summer which is more than enough for my gravel, test kit and filters for my tanks! Yay! I'm so excited for the road of cycling to start! I also just did a test on my tap PH and it came out at 7.2-7.4 PH. I've been informed I am very lucky and most tropical fish thrive in this level of PH. Ahh, dreams of more fish finally come true! When all of this is very exciting, I also figured out how to get my frog to eat! He got a hefty tank cleaning today and his water looks much better although it was hard for me due to my current health issues. I struggled through it for the health of my dear ACF, Austin, though. I'm not willing to lose him because I have fallen ill. Hopefully my room rennovation will take place within the next two weeks and I can start placing my tanks. I'm so excited this is all finally coming into perspective. I thought this would never happen! I wish I would've thought ahead and got a Summer job, but that wasn't the first thing on my mind after eighth grade graduation.
I can't wait to start getting my tanks cycling! I'll still need more money for plants and driftwood as well as a hood for a 10gal, but I'm just excited that I'll be able to put gravel in my tanks and have the filters and all ready for when I get my plants and driftwood to start adding water and beggining the cycling process! Haha, I'm way too over-excited for someone who hasn't even gotten the money yet. xD -headdesk- Sorry, I just had to share. I will be keeping this thread updated as the road to my fishies continues.
