addicted to bettas

I'm addicted to bettas. It all started 3 months ago, when my husband and I bought a yellow male betta, Wolverine. He was so active and so much fun to watch that a few days later we went back and bought a red and blue male crown tail betta, Adio. Not even a week later, we bought two 10g tanks. Last week we were at our lfs and stopped to check out the bettas. We noticed a little crown tail in back with major fin damage. We wanted to take him home, but had no where to put him. Yesterday we went to get fish food and noticed he was still there, and had been pushed way in back. He was also on his side and not moving much. We had to take him. We bought him and a new 1g tank. Since we put Rhino in his new home he is no longer on his side, and is a fairly strong swimmer. He is also much more active. He is only about 1in long and still has more than enough room in the 1g, but we are hoping to get him a 5g this week. I can't wait to get his new tank. But here are some pics of Rhino. The one with the marble shows how small he really is.

I would love to see some pics of your bettas...

Awwww..... He's cute! It was very nice of you to rescue him.

I don't have any bettas. Next betta I get is going to be thai bred though. Either off aquabid, or there are a few stores that specialize in betta. One is supposed to opened and carry imported fighting plakats. I might have to get one. Especially if they have a solid black one.

I think it is almost impossible to have just one betta. I fought the urge to buy a second betta for a year before I saw a crown tail that I needed to have.

Good work rescuing that fish.

a

That is a lot of fish. I don't think i could handle that many. I also have 4 otos, 4 tatras and a rubber lip pleco. I love all my fish. I have the two 10g tanks and am getting a 5g wed, for rhino. And we are already trying to find out who has the best deal on a 30g tank. I can't wait to have a community tank.

Only have 3 male bettas, but I just moved my female sorority tank into my 20 long so I can add even more. up to 9 females, will probably hit 11 by weekends end if I know the woman lol

Its a good thing I have a conscience about putting bettas in bowls, because im running out of room for 10g tanks and cant afford too many eclipse 5g hex tanks lol
