Just because you don't see aggression doesn't mean there isn't any. I believe I've explained this before where fish can display aggression through looks and approaches that we wouldn't consider to be aggressive but the lesser of the two will become very stressed out and most likely become ill. There is a reason we have these "rules" set in place, people have tried this plenty of times before and it's always failed.

Maybe look into a dwarf cichlid pair, IMO a 29g would do fine and that way you add some interest to the bottom layers.
Fishes like Apistogramma or rams would do well... Maybe a krib pair?

Ya, I thought if getting a ram pair, but i all ready got a good amount of bottom feeders (3 yoyos, 8 cories). Dwarfs are nice, I thought they hang at the top? Also is there anything sort of rarer you thing would go good? Plus already have an angels as well. I just read the post, and i made it sound like it hasnt even been setup yet, (its been up for 2 years). Im just rehoming some fish and sort if restocking.

LOL, I thought you were setting up the tank and had the angel and tetras.
Since you have some bottom dwelling fishes already include the fishes I listed above, the tank looks to be at the max IMO. Unless you want to upgrade in the next month or so, I would leave the tank how it is now.

Ya i was looking for some top activity without adding a whole school. I know im overstocked, but it is heavily planted and i have filtration that is rated for a 90 gallon tank. I was thinking a dwarf or something, cuz they are small and i thought they hang out at the top.

Actually, most dwarf cichlids hang out near the bottom not in the upper layers.

Okay good to know. Is there just one small fish that would hang at the top?
