2 betas and an algae eater

i have had two female betas since july now and they are very cute
but just last week i was walking through walmart when i passed the big fish tanks and i said to myself, i need another fishy friend
soooo i pick one of the algae eaters
i cant remember exactly what kind of fish it is, but i think its in the catfish family

Is that the fish in the photo in your gallery?

If so that's a common pleco as far as I can see. These fish grow huge, up to a foot long.

I assume, from the fact that you have only it and the 2 bettas in the tank, that it's not all that big? You may have to rehome it, or upgrade (an excuse for another tank :) in the near future.

its probably a comon plec............................. i have one now ive had for over a year that i need to rehome from my biggest tank!

The last time I had these fish, they grew quickly by 2 inches every 4 months. That's about it. Fast growers to me though. You'll need to give them back to your lfs. If you can get a 10g, you'll be better off with it where you can try some dwarf species of corydoras and otos (though this one would be challenging).
