hello and welcome :)
you say a work in progress, what will you be doing next ? :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

yea the gold fish, was a rescue fish i went to go take out the trash and some had put their tank next to the dumpster and the gold fish was still alive in tank on a hot Orlando day so we added him to the tank felt bad for him he seem like he did not want to die

planning on getting canister filter and background and maybe design the layout

Hi there and welcome to the forum. I agree that adding a background would really add to the overall look of your tank. I like your dark substrate and I think a black background would look nice. It would also go well with the decor of your home

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...
