wow !!bless your hearts for the lovley comments guys
ok. Fluval vincenza 240 L, T5 lights,2x visitherm heaters,Fluval 305 external filter,
containing filter wool, and ceramic rings, and sponges.
plastic and real plants.the plant that is a funky blue is plastic from the LFS,
the lovley plant that i can't remember the name of,was given to me :)
the sand is only covering half the tank the gravel is at the back for the Vallis, which
are real.4x bog wood, large bits.that were not pre soaked.
water change almost every week end, hover vac the gravel, then stired
with a bamboo garden caine to keep pockets at bay.
fat platy ready to drop any day........again(poor love. )
food.......frozen blood worm,daphinia,tropical mix,flake food,catfish pellets,
shrimp pellets, that the largest plec will run the corys over to get at them first.
he's such an agressive hovecraft when shrimp is on the memnu.
clown loaches,yoyo loaches,corydora catfish,platys,pearl gouramis,Koi angel fish,
harliquins,rummy noses,the five banded barbs x2. neons.
i think that's all of them. :)
i had some pictures of my clown loaches somewhere, but i've lost them

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

That is an absolutely amazing tank willow! You are so good at mixing the fake plants with the real, actually I don't think I've ever seen it done so well :)

20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )

thanks,you're very kind. :)
i'm working on bringing back to life my little 10 glln at the moment,
we're sporting an algae bloom at the moment. don't think
i've had one of those on my tank before,i really don't think it's the sand either.

sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

onefish: you forgot to add the black background suggestion to go along w/ the neons & shrimp
willow: it's beautiful and will look great no matter what you put in it. Did you already mention the size? It's a white sand substrate, right??

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...
