i know i took a chance…i've just always tried to keep them,
always wanted them,i thought..well..one last time..
fingers crossed they'll be ok…i must say the young lad was awesome!
he actually keeps reptiles as a hobby, but really takes an interest in tropicals,
and looks after the tanks there, you always know when he's not on duty !
i picked the day when he was in,and he took so much time chatting to me,
real conversation !

WILLOW!!!! *hugs*
I'm sorry to be so out of the loop here - just catching up and MY how this tank has grown since last I checked it! It's gorgeous!!! You must be thrilled with the way things have come out - great job!!!

Your pictures are pretty! I don't understand why you're unhappy with them? Bummer that you've found that you don't prefer tannin-stained water. Many people would agree with you on that - I personally find a light stain to be lovely - and for me, it seems to make photography easier! ^__^ (though I may just be imagining things ;)) Either way - nice shots, gorgeous tank - everything looks to be coming along wonderfully - I'm so happy for you! <3

I have bronze cories too, and they also hide all the time.
I don't even see them when I feed, unless I sit very still for 2 or 3 minutes.
It's quite disappointing, but I read an article the said that they are very timid in the wild as well, even when in giant shoals, so I guess that they're just exhibiting their natural behavior.

The falkirk branch has a well educated tropical guy there, he keeps discus, and like your self i only deal with him, he lets me know when new stock due and set me up with my 15barbs last week. Keep a eye out for there big plump gbrams the get in now and again. I know they have tryed to up there quilty, they only switched to led light what makes a visial differance instead of hair algae everywhere.
Cracking pictures mate you got to love corys.!!!

well i guess there's a lesson to be learnt then(smack my hand)for research !
i didn't…i just presumed they would be like the albino and pepper that i
have kept before, that would be absolute clowns !
not a problem as i still like them when i see them that is
after water change.

I think perfectly clear water can show nice coloring on fins a little nicer,..and it really is a pretty thing, but tannins can be okay, don't fret.
