wakey wakey
well pics will follow...but things have changed a little.
lost fish, lost moss and twigs, lost heart, however chugging along
planted some new plants(fingers crossed) ,got a new fluvial 406 filter,

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Good seeing you!

Good to see you, Willow..don't mean to barge in, but it cheered me up to see you still out and about! I just got out of the hospital for to cure my cancer,..just getting my tanks going, and fiddling around. May get some rams..

thanks guys
so glad you're on the mend, and managing to potter around,
and feel free to barge in anytime and tell more about what you're doing!

i have some clown loach behaviour going on and i'm not sure what's
happening...my biggest is sort of swimming around and being followed
by a much smaller one, which shimmys against the bigger one, then they diss
apear under the rocks.....i guess i'm not used to seeing them any more,as they hide
so much, the last time i kept loaches,i was used to goofy behaviour and the
playing dead...this is new to me.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

I heard, read and seen the loaches do the same similar behavior.

nitRate won't go down
there is no ammonia according to liquid test kit,
tiny amount of nitrIte.
is planting disturbing the tank too much,?
admittedly i've not stirred the substrate as much as i should, and now planting
i'm guessing it's kind of my fault,however......i've done around 50-60%
water change this week, and going to do another change of around 20%
today.

sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have

No clue. But it sounds like your cycle is about finished.
What's your nitrate at? I like to keep mine between 10 and 20ppm. It won't go any lower than 10ppm anyhow. Haha
