definately not a bristlenose. Bristle nose have bristles on their, um, nose. :P

well i dont know whats up but the red devil is awsome swims allday BUT WONT EAT??? i give him cichlid sticks, shrimp pellets, real raw shrimp and live menos today ( feeder fish) what can it be???? he a smart fish he follows my hand near the tank he see's me walk to the tank he swimms straight to the front of the glass but wont eat? i had him 3 days now.

Give him a few more days to settle in. Eventually he'll get hungry. Have you checked your water parameters?

No, you don't have to have a pleco. They're actually quite messy. Just vacuum the poo and leftover food with your siphon at each water change.

well hey ate some feeder fish today :) ..ok because i didnt take the pleco i left it with the guy along with the 2 convicts the red devil beat them up pretty bad lol, anyway my nicaraguensis cichlid cant go in the tank neither i gave him back to my friend the red devil was attacking her to bad. anyway the water is good the ammonia is 0 p.h is 7.8 the nitrites are 0 and the nitrates are 5.0
