I saw this fish on the cover of a fresh water atlas, and i wonder what its is its BEAUTIFUL.

I think its an adult male green terror, aequidens rivulatus. Actually the aequidens part is probably no longer correct, I've given up trying to keep up with american cichlid genus names.

though it does have very similar Markings of a green terror. its head Makes it lean Farther towards a FlowerHorn. I also its Fins are those of a Flowerhorn.

Its a Hybrid. LOLOLOLL

but all seriousness. its a green terror. They Grow a 'nuchal' hump on its head.

Gold Saum

This is a Gold Saum, a fish bred in captivity that very closely resembles a true Green Terror. True Green Terrors are difficult to find in in captivity anymore, as they are becoming somewhat scarce in the wild as well.
I own one of these fish and had a breeding pair not long ago, before I lost the female to a disease. See attached picture for proof. Although my picture is of a juvenile male . The linked picture is an adult male. Mature dominant males of this breed can develop the huge "nuchal hump", as it is known in the cichlid world.
