I wanted to show y'all an update on my 75 gallon. Everything is going quite well. There are currently 5 angelfish(3 silvers, 1 marble/1 smokey), 3 blue gouramis, 1 bull dog pleco/2 amano shrimps. I am on the fence about getting 2 more gouramis. Right now, the gouamis only chase each other and don't bother the angels. They don't fin nip each other, just a bit of chasing. Occasionally, I find them weaving, circling and swirling together. It's really cute to watch xD

If I do not get 2 more gouramis, I may consider getting some cories. Again, on the fence about those. I also won't be getting the cories until I receive my new canister rated for 100 gallons.

Plant-wise, I have 3 stems of narrow leaf hygros(the angels/goruamis love these plants), corkscrew vals, cambomba(whatever has survived), wisteria, water sprite, duckweed, salivna, asian water grass, ludwiga and a ruffled sword.

I am super excited, this weekend I am adding a DIY CO2 generator. Right now, I don't plan getting too complex with my CO2. I am just adding it just so my plants have a little extra something. If I get moderately good growth with just this 1 generator. I will keep only 1. If not, I will add only 1 more generator. I won't add a 3rd unless I am able to trade my current bulbs for higher lighting bulbs.
The CO2 generator will be 2 2 liter bottles that have the yeast mixture and 1 500ml bubble counter bottle. My diffuser will be a powerhead. Once I get my new canister, I will use it as my diffuser.

The picture shows a working airstone...I have turned it off as of last night to prepare for my CO2 generator.

I am convinced that the duckweed multiples when I am sleeping. I now have double of what is in the photo below O.O

I understand. I've asked the experts on my fish group(many whom are breeders). I feel that 3-4 juvies would be okay. We'll see what they say.

Well most of the experts on the fish group feel the same as I do. Due to the shape and room availability. There maybe aggression when they're adults. Others say they've experienced no negatives when heavily planting the tank. Either way. There is still a possibility that some will pair up and you may have to separate.

A wonderful quote I just got from one of the angel breeders
What you have to remember is that cichlids make their territories by the footprint of the tank and not the gallonage. Since corner tanks have odd dimensions and a relatively small footprint for their size you won't be able to get as many cichlids in them as you would a long tank with comparable gallons. I'd say four max for this tank and that's if they are pairs and not 3 or more males.

Thanks so much! :)
I was hoping of getting a few babies and then raising them onto adulthood... Now looking at it, i think it would be better if I just grow a few and then if one pair's, then get rid of the others.. :)

I believe, that may happen with me later on. If or 2 pairs up, I am more than likely gonna have to rehome the rest. I'd like to keep atleast my blushing koi and smokey pearlscale. But, it will depend on what happens when they all mature. In the mean time, I just love watching them grow and play.

Halloween Horror Nights is here. I'm gonna have to hold off any tank purchases to save for my ticket and t-shirt. I haven't gone in 5? years. Used to go every year with my best friend.

Absolutely!
I don't remember if pics are allowed to be taken of the characters, but I'll see if I can. They'll atleast be pics of me/her of course!

She went with some of her co-workers and didn't have much fun. Her and I are the type to go house, ride, house, comedy show, ride, and whatever else we can get in. But they tried to get into ALL the houses, which have like an hour-ish wait each and there are atleast 5 houses each year. In each house she had a "clinger" that actually punctured skin and scratched her with her nails. And a few co-workers were under age drinkers, total buzz kill :p

And this weekend hubby is getting paid for the inventory he did recently. So maybe I'll actually have a bit extra for some plants or fishys!

You guys will have a much better time together, I'm sure! Especially since it's a 'thing' for you two!
Super cool that you get to play Halloween games AND *maybe* get fishy fun stuffs! ^_^
Fun, fun, all around!

I've been spending entirely too much on fishy stuffs lately, so aside from some frozen goodies, I think I'm grounded from fun this weekend, lol!

Oh yes. We'll have a MUCH better time going together. We're sort of in sync with one another. So if one isn't have fun, the other won't. And she owes me this year, the last time we were there, she drug me through the Chucky House. *shudder* Now I'm gonna drag her through the Evil Dead House.

I don't entirely think I'd be able to purchase some fishy items as well. But one can hope ;)

Did some trimming and a late water change today. It appears that the next trimmings will be going into Reuben's tank. My poor sword is getting overtaken! I may just have to save up some money for a large sword plant and move my ruffled sword into Reuben's tank.

They gotta get their veggies!
There's actually 3 forks, one is hidden in the back for the pleco.

I just found another local fish store. I'm heading by there this weekend. Owner says she has some Red Tiger Lotus. So I'll probably use that as my center plant now.

#97 ·
MOR PLANTS!!!! NEED MOR!!!!
My cute little lotus. Should fill in very nicely.

Anubius B-something

And Willow Java Fern, normally I stay away from these because they always look pathetic in the stores I've been in, but the ones she had looked VERY lovely!

Now I'm just waiting for my new tiny driftwood to sink in the bucket to tie up the anubius and java fern. I was gonna bury the sticks, then I decided they were too pretty to be buried.

Driftwood hasn't sunk yet >:p
I'll try boiling them a bit and see if they sink after another day of soaking.

Tied em up nice n tight
Will probably end up partially burying the driftwood pieces
