So I'm considering building an acrylic 70-100 gallon corner tank for the pearlies. I seriously love these fish and I feel they deserve much more room. I was thinking of making it short but wide and long as well to try to simulate a more natural environment for them. I can't wait for them all to be full grown. I'm so excited to see how they've changed and grown!

If you do make a custom made we will be extremely interested in pics!
I also feel like making a custom made tank to suit a bunch of kuhlies, similar to what your thinking... But that won't happen in a long time! :)

Totally!!! Thankfully I have a year before I need the bigger tank, so I do have time to decide at least. But I think it would be much more possible rather than trying to find a large tank. But the bigger the better!!!!

And somehow both my 45 and 55 now have signs of Camallanus worms. YAY MY LIFE SUCKS!

I am attempting to treat both with 'medicated' food. Its basically frozen shrimp, some pellets and an algae wafer or two soaked in fenbendazole. If this doesn't work, (basically seeing what happens tomorrow) I will be ordering Levamisole HCL hopefully to try next. I really hope this works, so far in the 45 everyone has eaten, even Nimbus who has so many of them coming out he's stressed and super aggressive. But he did eat. Sooo.. Hopefully that works. I am holding off on treating the 20 until I think they have it. Also treated Requiem with some food as well since I had added some water from the 45 and plants into her tank.

So far it looks like everyone is responding to treatment. I've done the second round now. They all look good except for 2 pearl danios, Nimbus and Sam. One of the gourami girls is a little off, and another scraped herself up getting stuck on the driftwood. But otherwise its all good. Squeakz is in his show tank pouting. I'm trying to finish healing up my Betta Sashimi for showing as well!

Well today was the third dose of de-wormer. Everyone looks good. Sam didn't make it though, he ended up passing this week.
Nimbus is the only one who has one tiny worm left. Hopefully, it will be eradicated this round.

Today I entered Squeakz into our local fish show!!! He was super super stressed in the bucket. I was really nervous that I would have to take him home. He was yellow and his black spots were extremely faint. HOWEVER the conditioning must have paid off, because as soon as he got back into the 10 gallon on the shelf he colored up! Within 10 minutes he was almost back to his normal color!!! Before we left he was even swimming around showing off his dorsal and coming up to me. I'm so happy I conditioned him now! It was apparently worth it! I'll know for sure tomorrow after the results to say for sure though!!

We also have a photo contest, and I entered these!

Osiris (Si) My handsome boy who passed recently after spawning.

Pistachio, my metalic pearl scale!!!

And my lyretail killi!!!

Pistachio's picture looks a little softer in the actual print, so I hope it doesn't take away points. Lil entered some gorgeous pictures too! I looooove her Dario picture!!!

So Squeakz got a 77! Most fish didnt recieve over a 75 and out of 20, his fines scored 17! I just have to keep working on his trailers!

Also I think the devil worms are gone from the 45!!! Nimbus looks to be gaining weight again! Just a quick update for today. Im exhausted. . I brought my dog to class for exam practice and gosh.. it made it a long day.

Wow, congrats on the success at the fish show! I really hope Squeak does better as you guys go along, who knows, maybe you might be doing nationals in the future??

And also, yay! No more worms! Sounds like you hit an awesome time with your fishy clan.

Baby steps first, but it does seem like he might do well. According to one of the head guys our judge for catfish is so strict that if your fish does well in our show he will do extremely well at other shows!! I just dont want to stress him too much since hes definitely my baby.

I still have to dose the tank again but it looks promising from the devil worms. Im crossing my fingers!!
