I love the flagtail catfish! I've never seen one before, but now I've gotta get one. How big of a tank do they need? The gouramis are beautiful. I've been wanting some for ever, but that means another tank... and my mom is a bit opposed to more fish in my room. I'll have to convince her that my happiness depends on nothing but a new tank. XD

Where'd you get the catfish??

Great pictures and beautiful fish.

Can we get a FTS for the tanks? :)

James: Thanks. Various websites say a 30 gallon minimum for the flagtail. I got mine at a lfs 30 minutes away from where I live, the only place I've ever seen them. I'm planning on getting at least one more, as they like to be in groups.

Here are the tank shots, Cody.

My five gallon. I hate the ugly heater being in that spot, but it's the only place where there's a pop-out section of the condensation cover.

Here are my girls.

This one's a crowntail. Can you believe she held still for a fraction of a moment?

And here's a full shot of the 55 gallon. I took a new one tonight, as I've added more plants since the last photo.

Beautiful fish and tanks. your sparkling gouramis are so cute! I want them, LOL!

How do you find they get on together? Apparently they're very difficult to sex, so getting a pair could be a problem for me.

Thanks Falina. It seems they get along fine, and quite often they're side by side. I was thinking about that problem, and I figured it there was ever any aggression I could move one to my 10 gallon. Hopefully it won't be an issue. :)
