Tank is not looking as good as it used to anymore =( Its starting to build algae and some leaves on various of the plants are starting to turn yellow. The sword is having the most trouble, I added Seachem root tablets across the tank and I'm starting to think this may have caused an imbalance :S

How many hours are your lights on?

Kindest Regards,
Amanda

Keeping fish its not a hobby it is a passion!

55 gallon, 44 gallon, one 20 gallon tank, three 10 gallon tanks, and a 2.5 gallon all with real plants.

I have MTS and there is no cure.

I keep my lights on from 11-11 so 12 hours, but its really not a problem anymore because I finally added my fish stock, which is:

9 Neon Tetras
3 Otos
1 Gourami

The otos cleaned the tank right up in 1 night I actually couldn't believe it! These fish were all in a big 75 gallon community tank that was not planted and never had any driftwood or anything in it just fake decor. They are looking AMAZING right now, their color is really brought out by the water the driftwood creates.

Here is some updated pictures:

such a beautiful tank,it really is,
watch your ottos now if they've polished off all the algae,i'm not sure if
they will accept algae waffers.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

I tried to feed them algae waffers in the 75 gallon but they never accepted them there and I think the tank is producing just enough algae for them. :)
