Hi, Geo's wife! Nice to meetcha!

The hits just keep on coming over there!
At least they exchanged it, I hope nothing was damaged by the spill, ug. At least it was near the top. . .could have been far worse. Glad I haven't had to deal with that particular problem yet - hope I never have to!

The crack actually extended diagonally down to the bottom corner. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I was too busy flipping out.

GAAAAAH! That's like the worst. day. ever! At least it wasn't the big tank. I don't think I'd have stopped for a pic, either!

Oh, but it was the big tank.... full story here: http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/f...-story-103086/

Thankfully the tank hasn't had a water quality crash. Ammonia and Nitrite are zero, with <5 ppm Nitrate.

The new one is still holding water... it's outside my control so I shouldn't worry so much about it. But...

I must have TOTALLY misread those posts. GAH! That's a nightmare! For some reason I thought it was the QT tank! I'm so glad to hear that the water parameters are still good. . . *runs to check out story thread*

Sadly, one of the Angels didn't make it, the nearly all black one :(

He's the one that had shown a very little bit of fin rot the day after we got him, but it had cleared up quickly so thought he was okay. Guess not, the stress of all the moves probably didn't help him much.

They are all still young, and new, so we went ahead and got a new one. He's in the QT for observation before we add him, they other Angels shouldn't be aggressive to a newcomer yet since they are all still small in a giant tank (but wow have they grown in just two weeks!).

Some of the plants look quite rough >.> But on the plus side the floating plants have exploded. I have to scoop some out when I feed now otherwise there is no open water!

I know what you mean about the floating plants, mine have gone rediculous!! They are about an inch thick in places, bit of a pain when putting arms into the tank, as they get stuck everywhere! They do a good job though, I have a ton of dwarf water lettuce and some amazon frogbit too.

Sorry to hear about your angel, might have died anyway even if the catastrophe didn't occur... Sounds like it wasn't well to begin with.

Peace always..

If you worry you die, and if you don't worry you still die..... so why worry?

:( I'm sorry to hear it, dear. . . but like Rhymon said - it may have happened anyway. . . and there really wasn't anything you could do to avoid the insanity! Glad to hear the plants are coming back though - hooray for that!
