The shells are all sea shells. I was hoping to find something a bit closer to the shells found in their natural habitat, But unfortunatly, this was all I was able to find. The Meleagris' don't seem to mind as two of the males have territorialized their shell beds. The third male has taken to the rocks and the three females have been sticking to the open water, occasionally venturing to one of the clusters of shells to test the males. Two of them have shown some early indications that they may pair up.

As long as they're not neglected by their caregivers, that's all that matters. :D

ok steve-o..here's my post:

being new to the the fish-keeping hobby, i dont know a whole lot about what i am doing, but i have to say that its refreshing to be a part of a community that obviously takes pride and great care in what they believe in. i love being able to look at everyone's tank and set a goal for my future tanks. i am awed by the intricacy and beauty of your tank. you obviously took your time and carefully thought out what exactly you wanted and where to place it. i like the quote that you have in your signature..."take pride in what you do, for it is a reflection of who you are"..and i think that you are doing a great job of demonstrating that quote in action. keep up the great work. ^^
