Im going to be changing out the gravel and doing a complete rescape soon, but heres the tank after I replaced the light, thats why the plants all look like death
Thank you for the comments on my tank. Yeah it is super clean =D might have been too prestine. It's probably y my bamboo shrimp died =(
I am using a Fluval 406 with nothing but sponges in the media basket and 1 small pack of carbon. The rest are filled with sponge and polishing pads.
I do a 10% water change every week to keep the tank clean.
I wipe down the glass once every 2 weeks, I do this cause it doesn't seem to get dirty at all so I just take precautions.
I dose it with Seachem Flrourish, Frourish Excel, Prime. All capful after a water change.
I feed my fishes with Spirulina, Thera A+, Hikari Micro Wafers, Freeze Dried Bloodworms, and frozen brine shrimps. Not all at the same time of course.. lol I have a schedule on when to feed them and what kind of food to feed them x2 a day. In the morning before I go to work and at night when I get home.
Fishes are happy and I'm happy. Sometimes I watch them for hours on end, it helps me relax.
Well doubt mine will inspire anybody, many of these are just brilliant, some are breathtaking.
Mine doesn't have live plants atm, these are all silk and I went heavy on it with the goal being to create plenty of shelter and hiding spots as this would be a betta and loach tank.
There's plenty of rocks, driftwood pieces and clay pots too, I need to get a close up of all that decor to update this aquariums profile. Fish love swimming through and in the silk plantage.
As you may notice, there's a partial background. I painted it awhile ago, now I cannot reach back there to get it all off however I am going to use a step ladder and scraper this weekend to get down back there. Then I shall add a new background most likely a sheet this time!
6 female bettas
10 rummy nose tetras
3 bosemani rainbows (2 more coming)
1 dojo loach (more loaches like kuhli's coming)
5 glass catfish (on their way to being quarantined)
3 otto's (coming soon, too)
LOL nice, heavily planted silk tank. What substrate are you using? It looks like sand or fine gravel. I also think I'm seeing a Penguin Bio-Wheel as your filter. Not sure. Was wondering if the intake tube of the Penguin is adjustable. It looks pretty good with silk plants.
love this set up. beautiful work on the stand and canopy. i had a stand custom built and i am in the process of building a canopy myself. canopy wont be anything special but i think it will look alright
