the plec is a red plec, and will grow large.
I was gutted to find the little ones over a couple of days. :(
i was begining to panic,i thought i would loose the whole gang,
i did a water change, because the water smelt, one of them
i could not find,
as to date i have not lost anymore,so i htink the group will be ok.

Nice puffers, Willow. The tank looks lovely the way you arranged everything. And I'm sorry to hear that you lost some, poor little things.

I myself was contemplating converting my five gallon into a dwarf puffer tank, but for whatever reason I decided not to.

thanks guys.
yeah water needs to be kept very clean, because they are messy easters,
they can foul the water pretty quick,
also blood worm dissapear into the substrate quick aswell,
they are not yet feeding fully on frozen yet,if it dosen't move
they are reluctant to eat it.
50%water change every week, and because they are scaless,
they are vunerable to disease.
i had been testing the water almost constantly in fear of doing
something wrong, and the water was ontop,so i can only
conclude that due to the size and they would not feed, the poor
little things starved. :( not a nice thought at all !!

had a black ghost knife that starved.... it was very sad... the silver dollars in my tank would get all of the blood worms/brines shrimp on its way down... no matter how much i had already fed them. i finaly started keeping ghost shrimp in the tank but it was 2 late. so now i keep ghost shrimp in there with my bottom preditors and stick the blood worms/brine shrimp in their hides.

Really sorry to hear that Willow. It's a shame. :(

It's a beautiful tank however, I'm sure even just the 5 will be very entertaining.

how do you find they do with the plec?
